These estimates were developed using the methodology developed by Kumar and colleagues (2007, 2011, 2014). This methodology uses high resolution data from MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer on board NASA's Terra (10:30AM local time) and Aqua (1:30PM local time) satellites and meteorological conditions.
